The Booktenders
Experience:
The Booktenders is a fun and cozy experience off of US-1. A ton of love, charm, and book knowledge exist comfortably in an inviting exterior asking to be explored. Upon entrance, you’ll notice the space packed to brim with textual offerings, but not in a way that feels at all overwhelming or unorganized. They truly take advantage of the given space well and everything is easy to find and especially enjoyable to take in.
Favorite Aspect:
Up the stairs is a similarly peaceful retreat dedicated to YA and children’s books. The shelves drop in size to accomodate a reader of any stature, and the seating does the same (see mini Adirondack that just about melted our hearts!) As we were looking at potential children’s book selections, we were given insight into the books by the owner, who provided us information about a few of the authors and illustrators.
