Leopold's Books Bar Caffè

Experience:

Leopold's Books Bar Caffè is a completely unique hybrid bookshop that sits beside an restaurant called “Fabiola’s” but also includes its own mix of items from coffees to bottled wines and of course, BOOKS! From the outside, you are met with a neon sign displaying both businesses and it feels like you’ll be entering into a diner car or similar atmosphere based on the facade. You have two choices at the entrance, left to the restaurant or right to Leopold’s to explore the traditional stacks with hidden items abound. It reminded me of the traditional country restaurants you might experience off the main highway, where there’s a gift shop to go along with some cozy comfort food. The decor and style of this bookshop/cafe is retro and similarly calming based on the color pallette and thoughtful book selection.

Favorite Aspect:

It was abundantly clear that people come and hangout at Leopold’s based on its friendly staff and “sit and stay awhile” energy. It looked like there were folks doing work at the cafe style small tables, enjoying beverages and banter at the bar, or just kicking back on the plush couches in the spot between the books and bar. Leopold’s is a fun, chic, and interesting find that I hope you check out in your own adventures!
