London Review Bookshop is a very clean and modern shop with a professional look upon entry. The white shelves with green accent make it easy to find any type of book desired, with a lower level dedicated to children/teen books, as well as other specific genres. I most enjoyed the way the lighting changed from the bright, metallic overhead to the softer red, ruffled lights as we moved into the children’s area. It felt much cozier and lended itself well to the subjects shifting.
Additional Information
The staff recommendations were next to the checkout area and provided in-depth write-ups for a number of books. I liked how these were hand-written as it made the selection feel more personal, along with the signature of the recommender. The bookmarks that came with our book purchases each had a quote and a space on the back to write down notes, thoughts, quotes, or whatever else comes to mind while reading!
