The Blessing Barn Bookstore is an absolutely magical experience to behold. The outside reveals very little of what to expect, but upon entry, you are met with soft music and a giant space filled with love. There are books dangling from the ceiling throughout - from the cafe area at the front - to the stacks beyond. The entire experience is pleasant and the used books span an enormous set of genres to support all readers. In addition to books, they have artwork and gifts for sale and plenty of places to relax in the amazing space.

Favorite Aspect

The entire ambiance could be considered the best aspect, but it's truly the greater mission and purpose of the bookstore that surpasses all. The shop, cafe, and food truck are all powered by The Happy Place, which “…strives to establish acceptance, encouragement and support in order to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities and families with children with special needs.” Around the corner is The Blessing Barn Home Store, which serves as a vocational training site as well. It’s wonderful to see the mission come together in such a cheerful place with a clear community involvement.
