The Purple Couch Bookshop

Located in a shopping plaza, the North Andover Mall, the Purple Couch was an unexpected surprise. Attending the opening, the shop is spacious and filled with both books and merchandise, such as tee shirts and greeting cards. Opened October 2023, for the owner, Kate Keisling, the shop is a labor of love, something she always wanted to do. Creature comforts throughout, there is the requisite purple couch and other comfy chairs and sofas for relaxing and examining your finds. Near the front of the long space is a section of "Staff Picks", thoughtfully selected. The staff was very enthusiastic, and free gift wrapping is also offered. This unexpected treasure is highly recommended for all ages.

One special section is an inviting children's shed, with a soft, grassy rug and low shelves for kid browsing.
