Experience:

Symposium Books is an urban, funky, and fun bookshop in downtown Providence. You’re met with color and vibrance upon entering, as the shop has large windows looking out on the light-filled street. Inside, you are also met with a far wall full of vinyls, large stacks closer by with book tables in front, and gifts/trinkets towards the middle. I have no idea of the significance of the old iMac on top of one of the shelves, but I loved seeing it for nostalgia sake.

Favorite Aspect:

The openness of the shop makes it incredibly inviting and a joy to peruse. With others in the space, you feel like you’re a part of the book community sifting through unopened treasures of stories laid out. All of the featured and recommended book tables made that task much more manageable, and the unique sweets from all over were a pleasant surprise as well!
