Tidepool Bookshop
Experience:
Tidepool Bookshop is a fascinating bookshop just outside the downtown area of Worcester, MA. You are greeted with large wooden beams and pillars that are softened by the inclusion of fairy lights and large balloon style lamps dangling from the ceiling. The staff was available to provide help throughout the experience, and the entire place had a very welcoming atmosphere. Bookshop bingo was a really fun way to keep patrons engaged with different books or activities they could try out to further their love of reading.
Favorite Aspect:
The real cozy kids section. There was a neat cut through from the main area of the bookshop to the kids area filled with toys, color, paintings, various seating, and of course - tons of books for kids of all ages. There was even a kid reading on the little table! That's high praise for how welcoming and chill it was. The reading area definitely built the idea of wonder into the opening of a new book with the pleasant aesthetic.
