Curious Iguana just celebrated its 10th anniversary and is a real treasure in the historic downtown district. Always impressed at the variety packed into a relatively small space—all types of fiction, cooking, poetry, current events, social and political activism, etc. The booksellers go out of their way to assist with suggestions, both in conversation and in the hand written recommendations throughout the store.
Located at the main intersection downtown, it’s a perfect spot to browse and then stroll to one of the local restaurants for a delicious meal.
Additional Information
Curious Iguana is always my first stop for all children’s book shopping. Tucked away in a beachy thatched hut at the back of the store, the children’s books are divided by age and cover any topic of interest.
The store also hosts fantastic author events and themed book fairs. Social media presence is A+. Follow on Instagram @curiousiguana for new releases and recommendations.
