lala books

Experience

lala books “Where Readers Gather” is a spacious, bright, and joyful shop very close to the Lowell National Historical Park. You are immediately met with positive vibes from the outside and that carries true while entering as well! There is so much to take in and plenty to explore throughout the shop, which included awesome artwork and decor. My favorite aspect of the shop was how community-focused and inclusive the entire shop felt. There were so many events and local businesses that the shop featured throughout the space: on fliers, bookmarks (see below), other visuals - and even had an entire section dedicated to Lowell.

Additional Information

There were many unique offerings throughout the shop: blind date with a book, unlikely and helpful book subgenres (“Cozy SciFi and Fantasy”), fun and quirky items/artistic gifts, and featured events. We were told that the shop is celebrating their second anniversary (which is also the owner’s birthday!) this coming weekend and had children’s books/cookbooks on sale for the event. They had a calendar of several events and partnerships throughout the month, both shown on their website and social media accounts. On the bookmarks were helpful landmarks and places to visit in the area and a monthly book list curated by the local librarians. Everything about the place felt so welcoming and pleasant, and we look forward to going back!
