Newtonville Books is located in Newton Center (formally was in Newtonville - hence the name) surrounded by great food options, cafes, and other unique shops. The entrance makes you feel that you are immediately in a community-focused bookstore with pictures of visiting dog wall of fame, local crafts, and a delightful ambiance. The street-facing windows are eclectically designed and provide great natural light that shines through the lovely bookshop. If you only saw the large stacks, you would assume the shop was fairly traditional, but it is anything but! The amount of variation from space to space makes it so you end up finding little wonders around every corner.

The amount of thoughtful and detailed recommendations in every section of the shop makes the fortunate burden of finding a new book adventure that much more manageable! In addition to the books, there is a tremendous amount of gifts, toys, games, etc. that satisfy anyone’s picky or open-ended needs. It’s a book lover’s dream and a great place to wander.
